10. Selecting Documents

When browsing documents in FileThis, you can select an individual document, a range of contiguous documents, or multiple noncontiguous documents. You can then email, delete, and file the documents en masse. (When using a browser, you can also download documents.) For example, you might select three receipts to email as proof of payment.

Selecting Documents Using a Browser

You can select documents in the Documents tab when documents are displayed in List view or Grid view. To select documents:

  • One document: To select a document, click on it.
  • A range of documents: To select multiple, contiguous documents, select the first document then Shift+click the last document in the range. You can also click and drag to select a range of documents.
  • Multiple, noncontiguous documents: To select multiple, noncontiguous documents, Command+click (Mac) or Ctrl+click (Windows) the documents. (The Shift+click and Control/Command+click behavior is consistent with your Windows or Mac OS system.)
  • All documents: Press Control+A to select all documents on Mac or Windows. (Note that this is different from the Mac behavior of pressing Command+A for select all.)

Use the buttons in the lower-left corner of the FileThis window to email, download, or delete the selected documents; apply tags as usual.
