Fetching Documents for a Destination

When you select a destination, FileThis fetches documents as follows:

• Three Years: When you first select a destination, FileThis fetches documents from the past three years for each connection (if available).

• One Month: When you switch to a different destination, FileThis fetches documents from the past month for each connection. Any documents fetched previously remain in their previous location.

• All Documents: You can always ask FileThis to fetch all documents for a connection.

Preparing a Destination

If you want to use a destination other than FileThis Cloud, such as Amazon Cloud Drive, first make sure you have an account set up with the other destination and that it is ready to use. You will need your login information for FileThis and the other destination.

Selecting a Destination Using a Browser

To get started with FileThis using your favorite web browser, visit www.filethis.com:

1.     Login to your FileThis account.

2.     Click the Destination tab.              

3.     In the column at right, click your preferred destination.

4.     Follow the instructions onscreen to configure FileThis to use this destination.

5.     See the destination’s specific instructions below for details: FileThis Cloud, AboutOne, Amazon Cloud Drive, Box, Dropbox, Evernote/Evernote Business, Google Drive, My Mac or My PC, or Personal.

6.     When the new destination is configured, the Destination tab reports that FileThis is “Ready to deliver documents.”

To change to a different destination or to the FileThis Cloud destination, you can repeat these steps at any time.

Selecting a Destination Using the FileThis Mobile App

To get started with FileThis using the iOS app or Android app, install and launch the app.

1.     Login to your FileThis account.

2.     Tap the menu in the upper-left corner.

3.    Tap Destination.    

4.     Tap the destination you prefer to use.

5.     Follow the instructions onscreen to configure FileThis to use this destination.

6.    Once you authorize FileThis to use the destination, it is checked in the app's Destination list.

To change to a different destination or to the FileThis Cloud destination, you can repeat these steps at any time.

When you select FileThis Cloud as your destination, your FileThis window provides a Documents tab for managing your documents. You can also access all your documents through the FileThis iOS app or FileThis Android app.

AboutOne Destination: www.aboutone.com

Learn about AboutOne here. To connect FileThis to your AboutOne account:

1.     Click AboutOne.

2.     Enter your login credentials and click Authorize.

3.     Locate your fetched documents in the following AboutOne location: Dashboard > Important Documents > Other Documents and Receipts.

Learn about Amazon Cloud Drive here. To connect FileThis to your Amazon Cloud Drive account:

1.     Click Amazon Cloud Drive.

2.    Click Authorize.

3.     Enter your login credentials and click Sign In Using Our Secure Server.

4.     Locate your fetched documents in the following Amazon Cloud Drive location: Your Cloud Drive > FileThis.

Box Destination: www.box.com

Learn about Box here. To connect FileThis to your Box account:

1.     Click Box and then Authorize.

2.     If necessary, enter your login credentials for Box and click Authorize.

3.     Click Grant Access to Box so FileThis can read and write to Box files and folders.

4.     Click Return to return to FileThis.

5.     Locate your fetched documents in the following Box location: Files tab > FileThis folder.

Dropbox Destination: www.dropbox.com

Learn about Dropbox here. To connect FileThis to your Dropbox account:

1.     Click Dropbox and then Authorize.

2.     If necessary, enter your login credentials for Dropbox.

3.     Click Allow so FileThis can create a folder in Dropbox.

4.     Click Return to return to FileThis.

5.     Locate your fetched documents in the following Dropbox location: Apps folder > FileThis folder.

Evernote and Evernote Business Account Destinations: www.evernote.com

Learn about Evernote here. To connect FileThis to your Evernote or Evernote Business account:

1.     Click Evernote or Evernote Business Account.

2.     Click Authorize.

3.     If necessary, enter your login credentials for Evernote.

4.     Click Return to return to FileThis.

5.     Locate your fetched documents in the following Evernote location: FileThis Stack.

Note: FileThis is able to create, update, and list notes, notebooks and tags in Evernote. FileThis will never delete notebooks and tags, access account information, permanently delete notes, or update user account information.

Google Drive Destination: drive.google.com

Learn about Google Drive here. To connect to your Google Drive:

1.     Click Google Drive and then Authorize.

2.     If necessary, enter your login credentials for Google Drive.

3.     Click Accept to provide FileThis with access.

5.     Locate your fetched documents in the following Google Drive location: My Drive > FileThis.

My Mac or My PC Destination

To store your fetched documents on your hard drive, click My Mac or My PC. Keep in mind that if you choose this option, you lose benefits such as remote access to your documents, off-site storage, and automatic backups. You must login to your FileThis account from a web browser to select the My Mac or My PC Destination; it is not an option from the FileThis mobile app.

1.     Click My Mac or My PC.

2.     Download the installer and follow its instructions.

3.     Locate your fetched and uploaded documents in the FileThis on your computer. You are able to specify where the FileThis folder lives on your computer.

Personal Destination: www.personal.com

1.     Click Personal and then Authorize.

2.     If necessary, enter your login credentials for Personal.

3.     Locate your fetched documents in the following Personal location: Vault.
